There are two photographers who I always return to for inspiration, the first is Ralph Gibson, and especially his Black Trilogy, and then it is the abstract work of Aaron Siskind, and the “big red book”, I call it, Aaron Siskind 100.

When I discovered his later abstract work, it blew me away, frankly. It sent me on the journey of looking closer, and especially, getting closer to discover the details overlooked in a wider perspective. I venture out experimenting in other areas, but I seem to be always pulled back to that search for the art in the details.

I’m back there again, and it is my most comfortable creative environment, a place of peace and flow.
Cheers!
