I was going to write a much longer post, but not that many people who read here would probably care about it. Wearing the above lanyard around for four days in Lake City was a revelation. The artists who come in person, and a good number do not, the artists who come and hangout, walk around the venues, get treated like celebrities, it was amazing. People come up to you, especially the volunteers, and grab the lanyard to see the art and see where it is being viewed.
The most magical time was the last day. They do a plein air painting event. There were artists with easels all over town painting various scenes. The creative energy in the air was transcendent.
Anyway, I am still coming down from the experience. I will be submitting work every year, and no matter whether I get in or not, we will be going back to see some of the best art from all over the southeast. And if is my only shot, well that’s okay too. I’ll never forget it.
Cheers!

LOVE THIS—all of it, from top to tail and onward into the future. I’m so glad you gave yourself this art experience, and through you, others as well. I’m happy for you, Chuck! Congrats!!!
